RSS feeds are becoming ever more commonplace when it comes to distributing information. Strongly supported by internet users who wish to choose "à la carte" (syndication) content, they can pool a number of information sources (e-Commerce, news, entertainment, real estate, practical information) all on a single platform. This platform may be directly on the web (Netvibes, Live.com, iGoogle) with technology that is most often based on AJAX (from XML content files) or based on software (Bloglines, Newsgator, RSSXpress, etc.).
